Galina graduated from FIT with honors in 1991 and a BFA degree in Advertising and Multimedia.
She was hired by the Advertising Agency LMPM while she was still an intern at the agency and continued working on campaigns for Cover Girl, Vitabath and Lady's Home Journal for several years.
In 1994 Galina created her first GUI design. Having a degree and work experience as a traditional print designer was of great advantage in the field of online development, and so was the natural ability to pick up programming languages on the job. Most jobs that Galina worked on required learn as you go coding, PHP, Visual Basic, Action Script and other object oriented languages since most of the jobs consisted of teams of back-end developers and usually one or two visual front-end developers, a meeting ground for these two discipilnes had to be established.
Since 1998 Galina Arlov worked for the Fortune 400 companies such as Disney, Priceline, ABC, New York City Department of Education, United Nations. Galina is currently living in New York City and working on a new business development. |
